Does Gatech give a breakdown of acceptance by colleges/major? I couldn’t seem to find one.
I know they give one for In state vs OOS, but do they give it for specific colleges/major?
I know engineering and CS are likely the two most competitive schools, if anyone personally knows information about the COE and SCS that would be great.
Thanks
They claim that they “don’t admit by college or major” but I’m not sure if that’s true
Here is a breakdown of acceptance by a lot of factors for Fall 2016
http://irp.gatech.edu/admissions-0
I rounded some numbers but this is in the ballpark.
2017
is oos total admit is% is# oos% oos#
EA 4200 11500 15.7k 4400 49 2100 21 2300
RD 3300 12500 15.8k 2900 44 1200 14 1700
totals 7500 24000 31.5k 7300 44 3300 17 4000
7300/31.5k → 23% admit rate, 2900 enrolled 41% yield
2018 Estimate
is oos total admit is% is# oos% oos#
EA 5000 13200 18.2k 4700 44 2200 19 2500
RD 2500 14800 17.3k 2400 36 900 10 1500

7100/35.5k → 20% admit rate, 2900 enrolled target 41% yield
Assuming trend continues and Georgia applications stay constant…
2019 Estimate
is oos total admit is% is# oos% oos#
EA 5000 16200 21.2k 4700 44 2200 16 2500
RD 2500 15800 18.3k 2300 36 900 8 1400

7000/39.5k → 18% admit rate, 2900 enrolled target 41% yield
I found this article which says 46% of Georgia students were admitted EA and 19% OOS were admitted.
I think thats , for this next fall, 2018. So it does not quite match the above numbers for Ga student admits.
How does @Greymeer know the number of RD applications for 2018 or 2019? Those are estimates?
