i love the profiles! it's awesome how you can look people up. does anyone know if that list contains every acceptee or only those who applied online? if it contains everyone then we can look up people's names who don't have access codes and who haven't gotten their letter yet and let them them know whether they're on the list! anyone?

Cool! I just noticed the lists! I'm pretty sure it's all acceptees; I don't know for sure, though. I know several people on there that applied via snail mail.

but did those ppl that applied snail mail use the access code to get their decisions from online? i think the list is of the ppl that checked their decision online... if it's all the acceptees then that's not good news for my friend.

its not all the acceptees, of that i am sure.

It's a list of everyone who registered for an online account (when they first received their access codes) and logged in at least once.

That's good to hear! Some of my friends weren't on there...they might have gotten in???

It includes only people who have checked their admission decision online. (not those who just registered online, they actually had to check their decision online, and it has nothing to do with the online app). At least that's how it was last year.

oh man, i need to stop going to that site... it's making high school seem boring and causing me to think about next year instead of schoolwork (ok, maybe that's senioritis). I cannot wait until next year!

BTW, does anyone know what happened to the old forum? I want to see the comments that I received when I first asked for my chances at getting in to Duke. I seem to remember someone calling it a reach. Well, it's the best reach I have ever taken!!

Hey, I'm the only person in my major

booohooo I should have picked a maintstream one.

Hey everyone! - Yeah, the website is awesome, such sense of community! Can't wait to visit there for BDD, it will be my first visit to the campus - I greatly look forward to it.

Ha, all you RD people just now getting a taste of Duke's great website!

Us ED people have been on there for a few months talking with each other, pretty damn cool if you ask me

I'm the 'Profile of the Day,' lol

:)

The other admit sites pale in comparison

The site is hardcore addicting.

I was accepted, how do i login, can some1 post a link?? i want to see if some of my friends got in...

Log in here.

oh i thought that there would be something different, i recieved my admissions packet, but i could not find any pin number there. And i didn't have the pin number be4 to check my decision either. lol oh well, i guesss i'm just missing out...

Definitely missing out tayr3g, call them and get a pin! You won't regret it.

it is a cool website... now I'm absorbing info about Duke like a sponge

I've already chosen my preferred dorm(blackwell) and the focus program(Exploring the mind)

Who else is psyched !!!!!

I think we're all trying to get into blackwell...haha. No focus here. I hear it's alot of writing, and I'll get enough of that out of regular classes.

Don't try to get into Blackwell--the Dorms on the main quad (Pegram, Alspaugh, Giles, Aycock, Wilson) all have better locations, bigger rooms, nicer feels, and closer communities. You only need A/C for like 2 weeks. Plus, there is a disporpotionate number of athletes in Blackwell and Randolph. If you need A/C, you can request a unit in your room after you've already been assigned to a residence hall on the main quad.

Duke's is really cool, but Cornell's admit site is nicer imo
