I got a Username for the Johns Hopkins University Online Services program, does that mean I've been admitted?
I applied on Dec 15, 2009, and haven't yet gotten an acceptance letter, but they've sent me a user name for an account that they say is meant to be used for financial aid:

"This email contains instructions for logging into the Johns Hopkins University Integrated Student Information System (ISIS). Logging into ISIS allows you to view information regarding the status of your financial aid application and the requirements that are complete or incomplete. Once an offer of financial aid is made, you will be able to view that financial aid offer online. "

Does this mean I've been admitted!?! haha please help

You need to go back and read the e-mail that was sent to you. First, the e-mail was sent by the Financial Aid Office and not the Admissions Office.

Second, the e-mail provide you with log-in information for filing a **financial aid application **to Johns Hopkins. It has nothing to do with your application for admission.

Third, this e-mail was sent to every applicant that notified us that they plan to apply for financial aid.

Fouth, NO ADMISSIONS DECISIONS for Regular Decision applicants have been made. Decisions will be released at the end of March. We release all decisions on the same day. Notification comes via e-mail and postal mail. The Admissions process does not have any online status system and the Admissions Office does not provide you with any user name nor account information.

Financial Aid and Admissions applications are separate.

Admissions Daniel I indicated on my application that I was applying for financial aid to JHU but i haven’t received any such email so is there something wrong with my application?

You need to contact the Financial Aid office directly for an answer to this question.

Admissions Daniel, you rock my socks. just thought you should know. thank you! :)
