Admitted, now what?

i just found out i got accepted to michigan engineering. but i checked the financial awards page, and there's nothing. i was hoping to get some (since i'm out of state). also, how long is the offer good for? ie., how long until i have to respond? thanks.

You have until May 1st. That's generally the national deadline for making a commitment to a 4-year school.

They'll be working on aid and scholarships in the month to come. You should find out information in enough time to make an informed decision and to be abkle to compare with other offers you get.

Thanks a lot hoedown. I think it'd have to be a pretty persuasive package, seeing as how i'm a buckeye hahaha.

i think u should goto Ohio State then.

well i can attend the school for the quality of education. but of course i'll root for osu football :P

wow thats a pretty big risk youre running there.. a buckeye fan in ann arbor? lock your doors

i'm a little worried. but there has to be some solace from fellow buckeyes at a place as big as michigan right?

Kidding, right? You'll be searching long and hard for those "fellow Buckeyes." So, you plan on rooting against your own school at the big game next fall? Social suicide. Jeffl is right. You do belong at OSU...or perhaps neutral territory. Consider Purdue for engineering.

I agree, you should probably go to OSU. Not just because you are a Buckeye fan mind you. But let us be honest, OSU is a pretty good university, and even if Michigan is significantly better, can you justify the $100,000 price difference to get that degree?

i'll not necessarily root against blue, just not for them. i'll have to blend in haha. but that's why i'm hoping for some scholarship money as to the 100,000 difference.
