Admitted Student Eagle Day

Did anyone here attend the Admitted Student Eagle Day this past weekend? My son is planning to attend this Sunday’s event and we wanted an idea as to how things went and what we should expect.

yes I was there. In the morning you pick up your schedule at the conte forum (you should RSVP so they have the folder prepared). There is then a welcome speech from the head of admissions. Then from 9:15 to 1:00 pm there are four 45 minute sessions where you are given a list of classes/discussions/presentations you can attend. For example I attended the biology presentation, the fine arts presentation, as well as the pre-med presentation. There are a list of options you can choose. During these they give an outline about their departments. Lunch is available from 11:30 to 2:30. From 10:00 to 3:00 pm the office of student services in Lyons hall was open for students and parents with questions about financial aid. There were 2 presentations that focus on financing. One at 11:15 and 12:15. From 1:00 to 3:00 the residence halls were open on Upper campus. There were also campus tours every half hour after 1:00pm. Lastly, from 1:15 to 2:15 there were various campus departments and organizations open at a table fair. Hope this helps. Personally, I was very please and I am putting down my deposit today!
