Admitted Student Event vs. visit

Hey,

I am planning on attending Chicago although I want to make sure it is a fit for me by visiting campus, so I am planning to do that in the upcoming weeks. Initially I figured that I would go on my own and just take a tour / visit classes, but I see that there is an event for admitted students on April 7-8 that is more structured. I'm wondering if you think it would be better to attend this event (it is an overnight event, but I would not be staying overnight. Just not my personality to stay with someone after just meeting them that day) or visit earlier that week on my own? I kind of like the idea of doing my own thing, but I'm not sure what I can do but go on the basic tour and visit a class or two. Do you have any recommendations?

Definitely go to the admitted students event. You’ll be able to sit in on a class, take a tour, and attend a lot MORE sessions on financial aid and housing and student life and much more. You know, you don’t even have to hang out with your host if you don’t want to. You can go off and do your own thing.
