Admitted Student Vist in April

Hello,

I’m from OOS and will be taking my daughter to visit OSU as part of her final decision process. She will be staying overnight as part of the honors overnight vist on April 19-20. My daughter is exploring the chemistry/science programs and is also trying to understand the music (and social) options on campus.

Are there any other mom’s doing the same thing? I’m looking to understand where you are staying (hotel) and if you may want to meet up for dinner or breakfast to swap info on Ohio State. I want there a million years (20+) ago, but don’t have a feel for the campus now.

Is Jericho near Burlington? My sister has relatives there. My daughter is also considering the April 19-20 visit but as we are only 1.5 hours away, not sure if she will drive up herself or if I will go as well. She is reluctant to miss a day of school but has a conflict on the 24th with a mandatory school function.

Yes, it is very close to Burlington. What is your daughter planning on studying and did she already definitely chose OSU? My daughter will be deciding down to the wire … Boston U is still in the running and I can’t tell yet which way it’s going to go.

Originally Linguistics; but now considering a change to “exploratory”. Honors, but not sure now if she wants to stay in arts and science…I could list up to 10 different options of majors and minors. Pretty sure we’re a go…still waiting to hear from Michigan; but really can’t justify the added expense since we’re just looking at room and board expenses. Her school musical just ended today so we haven’t had much time to talk.

Funny, my daughter’s school musical just ended today, too (She was Ulla in “The Producers” …)

Good luck to you … maybe I’ll run into you if our D’s end up going to OSU.

I’ll be there with my son, traveling from Connecticut.

Please send me a PM, and we can exchange information.

both dates left are full so we can’t attend…and she didn’t want to miss school. Have fun and enjoy the campus. Bluejackets playoff tickets on sale this weekend, if you’re a hockey fan!
