Guys, as CC helped us so much in our application, I think it's great time for us to make our contributions~ Well, I was transfering as an International student to Caltech this fall. and was also admitted by Duke, etc.

Here is my common app WHY TRANSFER essay:
There is a famous question: Do you need a reason to love someone? and there is also a famous Chinese philosophy: Read ten thousand volumes of books, and travel ten thousand miles of roads.

Ever since I was a child, I have been dreaming about going to school abroad, for rumors have it that children in foreign countries grow up licking lollipops. Time goes by, but this will of mine never dies, not because I grow up chewing candied-haws, but because I realize that if I only take whatever it is given, and if I do not explore the truth by myself, my life would be so incomplete.

Ever since I was a child, I have been dreaming about receiving education in the United States, for rumors have it that students there do not have so much homework. Time passes away, but this will of mine never fades, not because I had not imbibed the essence of Chinese education, but because I know that if I do not experience the impacts from all around, the intercultural communication with outstanding people, and the refreshing of mind in disparate angles, I would be so regretful that I had been a frog in the well.

And objectives I hope to achieve are as follows:

In ten years, I would possibly carry on my education, all the way to a PhD, because it is vital to lay a solid foundation with knowledge for my long-term goal.

In the long run, I would refer to my personal experience to illustrate:

I joined AIESEC, the organization which hold the belief that one way to perpetuate peace is to eliminate the misconceptions between peoplethe reason why we need cultural exchange. I visited Shanghai Mobile and found that technology can greatly change peoples lives, and if used correctly, just like by most scientists and engineers today, can drastically reduce the time needed for problem solving. I read Freud and his followers, who tell me that improving an individuals impact will result in the pleasure of that individuals own life. I dipped into Buddhism and the Bible, which educate me that doing good deeds for people always worth the effort. So I see no reason not pursuing a greater goal, whether in academics or business, until after one day I could use my own strength to bring a few more smiling faces to the world, to offer a bit more discoveries to our endeavor, and to take a little more wisdom to my life.
