Admitted Students Visits

Anyone going? My s is a sophomore and he found it useful 2 years ago.

I'm going. They offered to fly me out there Apr. 21-23 because I'm a 1st gen college and minority. I can't wait!!

i was only told about the ones on apr. 8th, 15th, and 22nd. I'm a minority and didn't get invited for a whole weekend for a minority reception.

The 22nd is during the weekend of the 21-23. If you call the admission office and tell them you are a minority Im sure they will arrange your tickets. The deadline to register for that weekend was April 5, but maybe they will make an exception.

Im looking foward to seeing Grinnell for the first time. I also was accepted at Hamilton in NY (I'm from CT), but since Grinnell gave me a little dough Id have to hate the campus not to come.

I really would (and need to go if I'm going to throw away top LACs, Dartmouth, and Gerogetown) like to and soon, but tickets are soooo expensive for close up, It will be hard.

I asked them if they have any special deals with airlines, and I'm hoping that I can get something reasonable because I was offered at $15,000 a year scholarship.

im going in two days yay! ( its only an hour's drive from where i live)

Well, nothing.

The sad part is that I really need to visit if I'm going to go, and at hte moment Grinnell is slipping, so if I decide to go to a school higher on my list, then its out.

Well, I guess I'll see what happens and try to go.

I think I'm going on the 18th...or something

I just got back from my visit and had an awesome time. I was suprised that the town of Grinnell was actually half-way decent. I ate at a Chinese place that had some pretty good eggplant. Anyway, anyone else wanna share their opinions of the place?
