Hmm, may 14th, I just might drive up there. Its nicely right between the end of finals and E3. I'd like to get a tour of transfer housing if that's possible. I'm 90% sure I want to go to Cal but theres still a small chance for UCLA.

so for the admitted transfer students here to Cal, where will u be planning to stay? Dorm? off campus? If dorming, where will you dorm? I know theres exclusively a place for transfer students...Spens-Black Hall in unit 3, but from what i heard, unit 3 aint that great

dorm, gotta go to their coed. coed shower, coed bathroom, coed EVERYTHING!

coed showers and coed bathrooms?! That's awesome! ;)

awesome for guys:) It's berkeley after all, the place of LOVE, man.

Not so awesome for girls... Im going to try to get into the Channing Bowditch Apartments. After that I think Im going to say a double in a mini suite in Unit 2.

When are we going to get our acceptance letter in the mail? I wanna frame it!

i kinda want to go to other dorms than unit 3,
but i dont really want to dorm with the freshmans.... :P it'll make me feel outta place, i wanna dorm with the transfer ppl cuz they are in the same boat as we are...but....unit 3..!

I have a question here:
Am I still able to drop the class which is not needed for my major? (I have enough 60 units for transfer though)
From its 'Conditions of Admissions', they say 'you MUST complete all the courses in progress'. So I'm just kinda worried about that because I have dropped a class in this semester.

for that whole coed shower experience, i may have to sell one of my kidney to get the dough.

I'll be dorming for sure, i need to meet new people.
So are all transfers dorming together? What's the situation with that?

yeah, I don't know anyone who goes to berkeley. I need friends :)

lilomui,

I remember in the old collegeconfidential before it was updated to how it is now, students from Cal said that "unit 3 and clark kerr are the best." So since the hall for transfers is in Unit 3, it works out. I do not know if it's true but here is the link...hope this helps or at least sounds encouraging.

"yeah, I don't know anyone who goes to berkeley. I need friends "

It's easy if

You are a girl

You hold reactionary beliefs

You hold revolutionary beliefs

^hahhahah....

on the checklist section, it's asked to send them the high school transcript immidiately. did anyone already send it out?

No not yet. Yeah not sure where to live.. Unit 3 has transfer students but seems old. The apts are nice and new!! But lacks that social aspect.. <sigh></sigh>

Yeah I think Unit 3 seems a bit old and the apartments seem really nice and everything... I dont know. I think Im going to say I want the mini suites in Units 1 or 2 because then its nice AND theres some social aspect. Plus I dont really care if I have to room with a freshman or something because I will turn 19 on the first day of welcome week... so Im younger than your average transfer. Its all so confusing.

has anyone gotten their financial aid acknowledgement yet?

Nope, still can't create my CalNet ID...anyone else have luck?

The website said they load "student data" a few days after SIR submission. The website never makes a direct correlation between this "student data" and the ability to create a CalNet ID, but I can only infer that we are unable to create a CalNet ID until this student data is loaded which will take a few days.

I'm wondering if they need to cash my check first before they load the data...damnit. I'd like to know if UCB is going to be as generous as UCI before I send my money.
