Does anyone know if there is anything you can do if you were admitted to a satellite instead of University Park? my GPA increased tremendously senior year im at a 4.0, 1810 SAT took two classes at UCLA for AP credit and got an A in one and a B in another. but my GPA total is a 3.2 tho :/. lots of EC's and community service. started my own fashion line at 16, sold over 100,000 units.

can you asked to be re-evaluated? do i have a chance. Anyone hear of someone doing that successfully?
any tips? anything would be helpful i REALLY want to get into university park :(

Work hard, do well, and transfer into UP with the other branch campus students arriving under the 2+2 plan. I’m going to be candid with you – your cumulative GPA and test scores are not high enough to make any re-eval likely to go in your favor. We say it over and over on this forum – PSU is not looking at your EC’s/service/ recommendations except in unusual cases. You can ask for the re-eval, but sometimes the universities actually do know what they are talking about, and are putting you in the best place for your success.

My nephew was just accepted with lower stats to UP but did this through a summer session request. The champagne as poppin’ at that house when the acceptance came.

I was at first accepted to Hazelton. I then transferred to Altoona and accepted the housing contract. I wasn’t that excited to have to move after two years; I would be situated with new friends and the town. So, I used the contact form on the admissions website and asked if I would be able to either be put on a waitlist for UP for fall, or be put into the summer program so that I can go to UP eventually (for fall). The next morning, I got an email congratulating me on being accepted to UP.

My major is Petroleum Engineering. It can only be completed at UPark if I remember correctly. Thats probably why they moved me there. Try using the contact form as well as calling.

Also: I have a 3.0GPA, 1750 SAT, 27 ACT, 100 hours of service, and some internship experience.

See if you can change your major to DUS (undecided). Its much easier to get in as undecided, then transfer into your preferred field after 2 years of core (you’re in the same classes)

Yeah, I’m in the same boat. I was accepted to Hazelton too, which was an alternate. I want to try to be put on the wait list for UP or the summer program. Any thoughts on how I could try to get into UP? I emailed Admissions earlier, but I’m going to call them as soon as I get out of the AP class haha! But any advice on what I should do? The only way I could go to PennState is at UP because of family reasons. Does any of that matter to them?
