Advance Math

I'm a junior in a competitive high school in North Carolina. I currently enrolled in AP Calculus, and next year I would like to take 2 more math classes at a local college like NC State, I was thinking Calculus 3 and Differential equations, as well as AP Statistics at my. Is this something that would set me apart from other applicants and give me a better chance for college? Also currently I’m ranked 1st in my class and I’m very involved in ECs.

Thanks

Taking post-calculus classes will not make you stand out the way competing in USAMO or IMO would, but it certainly will help your application. Being first in your class, being from NC will also be helpful.

My daughter took the multivariable calculus and liner alagebra. She did have a blast and did well in the math/science as a whole. However, her math/scince teachers told her to take more courses in other humanities to she can relate to the business side. They suggested subjects in business side to explore and broaden her horizon. She found advance courses in huamnities such as International Relations and research in economics very interestings. math has been certainly very helpful in understanding these subjects. Stats is avery good course.

Multivarialble and Linear Algebra are typically next in the sequence of math courses and would be a good choice. Maybe calculus 3 is multivariable, but you should take linear algebra before diff eq's
