As of now, FIT is my dream college; but I'm only a junior in high school, so I still have a year to do more research on other schools and decide which one would be the best for me. I'm interested in FIT's advertising and marketing communication as a major.

I know FIT is a great school for fashion design, but how does their school of business and technology stack up to the others?

Also, any suggestions on what I can do to improve my chances of getting into AMC? I know good grades are a must, but how about SATs, APs, etc.?

They have a wonderful program! Especially if you love fashion, and want to work in the fashion industry. Since you are right in the city, the internships are amazing, and will likely lead you to great job oppurtunities. You'll also find that many of the professors are out working in the industry and have loads of experience and connections.

As far as SAT's go, they don't consider them. Since the A&MC major doesen't require a portfolio it gets very tricky. AP's are always great but your grades in general have to be good because the main deciding factors are gpa, your essay, and activities. My best advice is to write an amazing essay and keep your grades up.
