Advice about EC's?

Sorry if this is the wrong section...

I was wondering if anyone could give me advice about my extracurriculars. I danced (ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and pointe) from 5th grade to 8th grade, but then I quit because of financial issues. It's been a year; I just finished my freshman year. This year, I tried tennis and track, but I didn't excel in either. Do you think it's a good idea for me to go back to dancing, or should I continue with tennis and track and try to improve? The dance school, by the way, only puts on local shows. I don't have the money or parents dedicated enough to do any professional programs. If I danced again, I would probably only do ballet and pointe. Will it look bad that I quit for a year to colleges? Will dancing at such a small school even help my application? I could also try to do tennis and ballet at the same time, but I'm not sure how that would work out, and I probably wouldn't be able to do ballet and track at the same time.

I realize that most people will say "do whatever you enjoy most." I did enjoy dancing a lot, but if tennis and track will help my application more, I'm willing to give it up. I'm not sure what schools I'm aiming for... Of course, I'd love to go to a prestigious school; I'm ranked #1 in my class of 300 kids in my public school so far, but I realize how incredibly competitive college admissions are. I'm just trying to make decisions now that will keep my options as wide as possible when it's time to choose colleges and majors. My other ECs, if it matters, are Odyssey of the Mind, mock trial, violin and piano, and volunteering at the hospital and a therapeutic horse riding program. I don't really stand out in any of them.

Thanks for any advice!!
