I desperately want to get into the film program, and I know for sure that that is what I want to do. I'm also not exactly rich, so I need to save money. So what do you think: go to la for two years, apply for film program sophmore year, while simultaneously applying to tons of other schools a a transfer student, just in case because la's film program is crazy hard to get into. This way I would save money, at least for two years. Does this sound ok, or is it all just too iffy to try?

what are your other options?

Emerson College, which is supposed to be a pretty good film school, you know, after the obvious choices, i.e. NYU, USC, UCLA. I got into their film program, so I could start taking the classes right away (for film I mean). But it's more expensive (by 10,000), and I heard it's classes are hard to transfer because they are sort of built unique because it is a specialized college (communications & arts, film and marketing being their most prestigious programs). I worry about that because I don't want my choices to be closed off. Maybe, if I still want to go later, I can transfer? I don't know. Sorry for rambling.
