I really appreciate your help

Send them a letter about your most recent (significant) achievements and how, if you were admitted off the wait list, you would accept it (if that is indeed the case). Also, how are you and your family set financially----will you require financial aid? Because that would most likely be a deterrent as, I believe, admissions are not need-blind for international students.

Thanks, and yeah, i will need financial aid :(

Well then—look around for outside scholarships and grants that you can apply for! And don’t take my word for it…I am just the mom of a graduate. Be proactive and let Barnard know of your continued interest….and talk with your parents about what would have to happen for you to be able to attend (financially, that is). Best to you!

I will try my best :))

Get more letters of rec and send them to Barnard–my friend got off the waitlist for Yale this way.

Thanks for your advice

Any news??

Not yet

I really don’t know how long it will take. Oh well…

Yeah… the wait is not fun. Hopefully soon! have you accepted any other places?

Barnard is the only American college for me (i’m international). What about you?
