I’m thinking about going for a master’s in accounting in California but unfortunately I don’t really know too well if prestige is important, what schools are well-known etc. or if the ball game is just generally different then when I applied to undergrad.
In So Cal, I’d vote for USC.
Are you going for a CPA?
If you have a CPA, there’s less emphasis on where you went to school.
If you are going to do well in accounting, you should have a CPA.
The trick is getting hired to get the work experience to get your CPA license.
Good grades from most schools will be fine. A good economy and a big market helps too.
Which schools are you looking at? Do you have an undergrad in accounting?
I don’t have an undergrad in accounting and I’m thinking about UCD, UCI, USC, and SJSU
All sounds like fine options. Do you want to work in So Cal or the Bay Area when you’re done?
