Hi,

As things now stand, I can graduate this spring a year early (after 6 semesters) with an MCB degree. My overall GPA and science GPA should both be around 3.8. I'm premed, but haven't taken the MCAT yet (planning to in May).

At this point, I'm not surely exactly what I should do. I could look for a position in a solid research lab (already doing research but I'd want something more substantial), graduate, and work in a lab for a year, get some sort of other job, not graduate, take easy classes and still do research/get a job, etc.

What makes it difficult especially is that I've heard that graduating early is looked down upon by med schools (I've been through the convoluted logic of that and get it..sort of), and yet, I could be saving my parents a good deal of money by graduating early. If I get into med school, I would be entering the same time if I graduated early or didn't.

So, I'm asking: what do you think you'd do in this situation? I would say my primary concern is getting into med school, but I'd prefer getting in the most straightforward way possible, and I'm not sure graduating early will complicate the situation or alleviate the pressure.

Any advice is appreciated.
