<p>I am planning on applying to a MBA program in 2011.</p>
<p>My most contemplated question is... Is it better to spend more money and attend a highly recognized business school (like USC) or is it better to save the money and go to a less expensive school without the big name? How will it effect my chances of landing a job in the future? </p>

People save money on college to attend more reputed law/medical/business schools because they matter when applying for a job.
Unless you absolutely have to save, you`d better spend more on more prestigious schools.</p>
<p>It might depend on what your specialty will be or where you plan to work. Possibly the biggest name may not be the best in all cases.</p>
