Hi. I need some advice. I thought this would be a good place to go since the people on here seem so helpful and knowledgable. I was accepted to Smith ED (thankfully). I have a friend who would like to go to a college near Smith (or somewhere in the Northeast). Does anyone know of colleges that will still accept applications at this point? Unfortunately, my friend applied to top colleges (Ivy League, Stanford, Duke, etc) and was rejected by all of them. And, she didn't apply to any safeties. She has 4.0GPA and impressive extracurriculars.

I would really appreciate any help or advice. I just want to help my friend.

Thank you so much.

I understand that your friend is a good student, but at the same time the deadlines for top notch schools are over so I suggest that she spends one year and transfers to a better college or sends applications for January admissions.

I also think she should wait for January admissions. And next time have a good safety.

Has your friend considered a gap year?
