I am international student; got accepted to Northeastern EA. NU is my top choice and I will be going to Northeastern only if I get the scholarship I need.
My question is...
Would my chances of getting more aid increase if I somehow tell the admissions office or whoever is in charge that my first choice is NEU
or
should I wait for my package first; and then depending on the aid I got tell them that NEU is my top choice...

and one more thing ..who should I contact?the admission people or the finances office??

I'm not sure cause I know telling a school its your first choice really helps, but they might also not give you any aid cause you've already let them know that you really want to go there. What type of grades do you have? If you're a really great student, they might give you aid to get you go there. Well the fact that you applied EA show you have a strong interest. If your grades aren't great, I think you should just wait and see what money they give you. If your grades are amazing, I guess you could call the school saying how'd it's your first choice and you'd love to go, but money is an issue. Good luck!

well, I cannot compare my GPA with you guys since I am an international student..but I know it is quite O.K for int. students since I know some people who got in with my GPA and even lower...got accepted in the college of engineering.
My SATs are 530 critical, 740 math, 600 writing..SAT2 s are like
760 Chem...760 math2c...720 physics...
I also have an AP scholar with honor award..
AP Physics C ...MECH 4, Electricty-Mag. 5.
AP Calculus AB 4 ( will be taking BC this year)
AP chemistry 5
.....
....In addition to all of these above, I am an athlete but I won't be competing in NCAA. ( since they do not have the team for that)
...I know I have good reccommendations..
thats all I can think about..

You have strong math and science grades. I think you have a good shot of getting lots of merit aid, but I dunno how much aid Northeastern gives to internationals. I think you should wait for the package and then make some phone calls if it's too low,
