Advice on Freshman Year and beyond + evaluate my chance so far?

<p>What are my chances on getting into an Ivy League so far? What else do I need? I will be a freshman in the fall. Any tips for the rest of high school?</p>

<p>-Published a poem into a nationwide poem book
-Won my school and regional spelling bees and participated in the National Scripps Bee two years in a row
- I was a main anchor for my school's morning show for three years
-I was published for an essay in Scholastic's Scope magazine
-Went to a Science for Girls leadership convention
-Taking all honors classes so far, can't take ap classes till tenth grade
-two years advanced math classes
-I tutor at a local Kumon Math and Reading Center (if you can call that tutoring)
- Won first place in two science fairs at the regional level
-participated in mathcounts, student council for three years and am joining science fair club and journalism/school newspaper,
-all a's so far in all my classes</p>

<p>or do these stats even matter? do the colleges only focus on high school achievements? Thanks so much!</p>

<p>Your chances so far? Zero. You don’t even have a GPA or SAT score yet and you’re asking people to chance you?</p>

<p>Listen, all of the things you did in middle school are great and everything, but it doesn’t matter unless you have some huge accomplishment (i.e. - cured cancer). High school is where it starts. Get good grades, do things you have a passion for, and you’ll be alright.</p>

<p>Come back in 3 years and ask someone to chance you.</p>

<p>Very little of what you do in middle school can be mentioned when you apply to college. The only time you can really mention something is if you are still involved at it when you apply to college (example: I have been volunteering at the same place since 7th grade). Focus on doing well and don’t come back on this site for at least two years (you will just stress yourself out).</p>
