Any advice? I noticed on my ACT reading, I didnt finish 5 of the questions, anyway to improve this significantly?
I'm taking it in June-aiming for 33+

I have a few tips that I found successful for reading and by extension, English. (got a 32 composite on the Feb. ACT, with a 36 in reading.)

Get your hand on as many practice tests as possible, no matter the source. Take the reading part at least every other day, if not every day. Split the four passages, and take two passages at a time, giving yourself 15 minutes. Take the first half, grade, and see what you did wrong. Then take the second half. By doing this, you practice with less time (from original 35 to 30 minutes), and your timing will improve.

Go to the College Board’s website and find the list of the 100 books to read before college. Read as many as possible before June, and your reading comprehension and speed will greatly increase.

Go to your local library and pick up a copy of a high level magazine to read when not reading one of the above books. (My favorite is The Atlantic.) The articles will be similar to what appears on the test.

I am retaking in June as well, and will continue this plan to make sure my scores don’t drop. Best of luck!
