Advice on junior year schedule

My school goes on the four by four schedule and these four classes are offered fall only :
AP statistics
AP Bio
AP physics
APUSH

I want to go into premed at UCLA, Brown, etc. and I know that physics bio and chem are good to show for an application. Should I take AP physics senior year or try to take all these ap’s at once. Should I move AP Statistics to senior year? I will not have a math class junior year then
my second semester is much lighter
AP Environmental Science
AP Psychology
AP English Language
ISPE/Free fourth

If I take AP physics one fall, I will try to take Physics 2 spring
Please give me recommendations on what to do with my schedule.

sorry forgot to mention
Sophomore year schedule
AP Chem, Ap Calc ab and bc, ap computer science, ap world history
I should have a good foundation for physics with calculus and I have taken a lot of math so im wondering if colleges would notice if I skipped a year

OK. I will try and give my two cents here.

I took a look at this. Turns out that you can not get class credit for ap at brown… only “place out.”

Decent thing, and I recognize that for pre-med, it would be better off to repeat ap sciences again [with prior background] in order to prepare for higher level science classes (like oro).

My concern is that your taking calculus AB (which is admirable for a sophomore) is not doing enough to prepare you for math in college. I would recommend looking into getting another higher-level math class in the formula. If things go to such an extreme where there are no higher-level math classes, I would recommend that you get either online classes that have official transcripts from a college and persuade the school to accept it, or even get a free period and dig into more math with a tutor (vector calculus/differential equations/the like). I sense that you like math, judging from your taking comp. sci/chem/calc in sophomore year. Or even go to a community college… just get the math knowledge in. Math is king. Taking ap stats is a good thing, all right, but it is not worth giving up the opportunity to get into differential equations for. You will have to take stats again (at a much higher level) anyways in college, even if you get AP stat credit. Taking stats from edX.org or coursera.org, will teach you the same that you will learn in AP stats… maybe even more? Again, it depends on your particular high school’s rigor and competitiveness. I am speaking from my high school’s context and personal experience.

Colleges will notice that you skipped a year. They will admire your initiative for taking more math classes.

Also, I would suggest that you try and take AP Physics C, Mechanics [or even E&M, if they have it at your school] as most colleges (even state Uni’s) do not accept AP Physics 1 and 2 for credit [but they like to see it on your transcript, nevertheless]. Thus, if you decide that you will go to a decent state school, which is fairly plausible, your taking Physics 1 and 2 will be completely useless. With your calculus background, you will not have a problem in the class.

Another concern of mine is that you are packing in bio, history, and physics into one semester. It really depends on how hard the classes are at your school, but AP bio is absolutely killer in mine. It is a full-year class which meets every day and tries to pack in 2-3 semester’s worth of college bio into a single year [high-pressure cooker situation]. Couple this with AP US History, and constrain both classes into a single semester, and you have a formula for either complete sleep deprivation, or a suicidal mental state. (yes I know, this description may sound comical).

If you are genuinely interested in environmental and psych, and want to take classes for personal enrichment, do them! Otherwise, do not consign yourself to a life of drugery just for some “credit.”

I would advise for you to spread out your schedule. Take Physics senior year… does not matter which physics classes (Physics I/II/C… etc). Focus on Bio more… it is a killer class.

Let me know about how your schedule turns out.

My daughter only had three years of math in high school because she completed AP Calculus BC before senior year, and she got into an Ivy and was offered big scholarships everywhere else. Her transcript in high school did show her Algebra class taken in middle school though, so she had credits on the transcript for four math classes.

Get a copy of your transcript and see what it shows for math. Also, some places may consider the AP Comp Sci class a fourth math class. It varies.
