Advice on potential majors

Hello everyone! I am currently a senior in my college and unfortunately I have been unable to decide on a major. When I had first started college I had wanted to be a Pediatrician, but college biology was too much for me to handle. I tried my hardest, retook classes, and although I passed the grades werent high enough for me to feel confident enough in this major. So in the beginning of my Junior Year, I changed my major to Computer Science which I took and did fairly well but I got anxiety from programming, Its definitely not something which I can think I could do for the rest of my life. So now I just completed my senior year and I am trying to transfer to a college which offers Computer Information Systems/ Information Technology although my GPA is only a 2.5 (due to all the horrible science and math classes)! I do know I am in a horrible position but I feel like Computer Information Systems/Information Technology is the right major for me! I have been fixing computers for all my loved ones from a very young age, whether it be replacing hardware or troubleshooting issues on software, which is what my intended major entails. I know the pay is not as good as a Computer Scientist but it is decent enough to live off on, it is an excellent industry, and there is more room for growth. So, based on my life story above, any advice on my major or other majors which might be more beneficial to me? I have all grad requirements complete, I just have to work on my major and I will be done! Thank you Very Much!

Maybe look into hardware engineering? I’m pretty sure they make quite a pretty penny, maybe even more than software on average. Honestly, just do something you like as long as the job market is not horrific for it. Computer informatics is just fine. Just google the average income, percent of people with jobs etc. Pay depends on how good you are, not on an arbitrary average, though a high average helps.

I don’t think you have to major in IT to get a job in IT. If you’re currently a senior, finish a major where you are - most colleges require you finish at least 60 credits, so you’re looking at two more years of college if you do manage to transfer. If you can finish your computer science major where you already are then you can still move into IT (or anything else - you don’t have to be a programmer).
