Hey guys,

I've gotten my acceptances to UCSB and UCLA for MS in EE (focusing on RF/microwaves, electromagnetic stuff), and still waiting on UCSD and UCD. UCD is really not a big consideration, so I'm wondering if anyone has more expertise or knowledge in the RF and electromagnetics areas. I've heard conflicting things about UCSB, UCLA, and UCSD. I know UCLA has been traditionally strong in this area, but one researcher (with PhD) in the lab I work at says that a lot of the good professors have left UCLA. He also said the same about UCSD, but from my impression SD should also be fairly strong given its relationship with Qualcomm.

Therefore right now I'm slightly leaning towards UCSB, one reason is because it is overall cheaper than LA and I believe also allows TA-ing starting the first year even for MS students.

Thanks for any advice!
