Hi, I need some ideas about how to graduate my Senior. He redesignated his sophomore year and went to Boarding School. He just withdrew with a disciplinary action. They believe that he really wants to be home and was “caught” purposefully, so even though he says differently, I don’t think sending him off to another lockdown campus is a good idea…
Life since March has not gone well for him, while he’s kept up a 3.8gpa- the rest of his world went downhill- no games (he was being recruited) bubbled campus and the typical teenage problems of his girlfriend of the last 3 years being back home and ending up with his best friend… So he’s home now, and we’ve asked him to talk to someone about his mental state to make certain that’s not more of a problem than we realize. Now to graduate?? One of our problems is that the school where we live is on a semester schedule like college classes, (we live in a town without a public school where the town pays for all students to go to a private school which is located here) They don’tn have a way to make his first term classes count as he won’t be able to finish them. He can start the next semester, but would only be able to take 3 or 4 classes maximum as that’s how the schedule works (1-1/2 hour classes everyday for one term). He did get his first term grades and he has been admitted to a couple of his colleges already, but they expected him to graduate from his Boarding School… VERY LOST Mom :’(
