Advice Please? SAT II Stuff...

Ok, I took two SAT IIs in June. Math IIC: 800, Lit.: 720. Now I face a dilemma.

I want to double major in history and economics. Obviously, then, it would make sense for me to take US History. I was going to in June. However, I freaked out because I took four practice tests. My scores, in order, were: 770, 550, 620, and 780. Does anybody else notice a slight inconsistency? I decided it was because I was in History of Americas, which is not technically American History, and so my syllabus was completely useless. I didn't dare take the test in June, and I planned to crash course study it for October.

However, none of the colleges I am considering require more than 2 of these annoyances now that SAT II Writing is gone, and only one of them requires any. Unfortunately, merit scholarships are sort of a requirement.

Here's the question:

Should I take this history test and thereby complicate an already stressful life and risk a low score?

First of all, World History is supposed to be a lot easier than US.

Second of all, if colleges only require two tests, they'll only look at your two highest scores. And they don't really care whether you take the history SAT II to correspond to your major unless you're applying to a specialized program.

Also, inconsistencies really are annoying. On bio practice tests I'd get 770's in Barron's, 750's in Kaplan, 700's in PR, and 650's in REA, but I ended up with an 800 on the actual. All that you can trust is Collegeboard's Real SAT II: Subject Tests.
