I am posting here cause i am unsure of which school to attend to the point of stressing myself out. So after spending two years at a local community college I was able to get my gpa pretty high so much so that I was able to get into suny binghamton, suny geneseo, and suny plattsburgh. I was able to look at all three schools and they all have great views, a great looking campus , and from what I understand great academics so I think no matter which one I picked I would love it. I plan to study I/O psychology and from what I understand all 3 schools are great for undergrad psy majors. Yet is it better to go to a school with no grad students, do to the fact that would leave more research opportunities to the undergrads instead of having to fight with grad students to get some research. I am unsure of which one to pick and i am terrified of some how failing out, cause if that happens I am basically kicked out of my house. I am just looking for any kind of advice really, plus it would really help me out.

Binghamton and Geneseo are both very good schools. I would say that Plattsburgh is a tier below that but still good. I am in the area near Geneseo and can tell you that it’s a great school.

If you have a high GPA in community college I wouldn’t worry about failing out since you probably already have a strong work/study ethic.

Good luck!

I agree with the above posting about both Bing and Geneseo. Both great schools. Did you like the larger campus feel/ Bing or smaller like Geneseo?

Thank you very much artie1. When I looked at Geneseo the small town is one of the things I loved about it.

GCmom415 I did love the architectural layout of Bing. But Geneseo gave me that small town feel which I loved about it.

If you like the small town feel of Geneseo, that’s where I’d go. The only negative I’ve really heard about Geneseo is the “small town” aspect, but if you like it then that’s not a problem for you! A lot of people I know loved Geneseo, and I know those that have liked Binghamton but really disliked the surrounding area.

Also Geneseo is more like a smaller Liberal Arts College while Bing is your larger research university. Which atmosphere are you looking for? They are both excellent schools and good for your major.

redeye41 I did like the way Bing was set up. I really love the feel of Geneseo of how small and close the town seemed
