I am 21 y.o. and haven’t started college yet. Most of my problem is due to the fact that I have no clue what I want to go to school for. I have a few ideas of what my ideal career would be: Office setting, low stress with a fun atmosphere, ability to be creative, structured routine. I have good writing skills, I’m creative and outgoing, I hate to do things involving a lot of numbers and statistics, I’m terrible at math and science and I also want to feel like I am contributing to society/ the business I work for. Any suggestions on what I should go to school for?
Creative Writing, maybe you should be a publisher!
If you’re not sure what to study either try taking some different types of jobs for a few years or apply to colleges where you can remain undeclared/undecided for a few years and switch relatively easily between majors. Many people enter college without knowing what to study.
Journalism? Creative Writing? English? International Relations? Communications? These could be potential classes to explore before deciding in college. Take a class that sounds interesting and figure it out from there. At some schools you have over two years before needing to declare a major.
