OKAY SOOOO basically I was Wait Listed!
I am not ecstatic about this but I love the fact that I have another chance to show them a little bit about me. I neither visited nor submitted the optional why do I want to attend Brandeis and I was wondering do you think I should show interest now or is it too late? Also did anyone get accepted that did neither of these?

Thanks

Ps the reason why I didnt do either was because I added Brandeis on to my list late- NOT because of a lack of interest.

The Why Brandeis question is the way the admissions counselors know you are seriously interested in the school. Admissions has no way of knowing that you added Brandeis to your list late in the process and didn’t have time to answer the question–they just assume that you are applying for the sake of applying and aren’t truly interested the school itself. If you want to convince them you are interested in Brandeis, you need to show it! Send them a paragraph or two on why you are interested in Brandeis and what exactly you would bring to the Class of 2014, what you plan on getting involved in, etc.

If you are close enough to Brandeis, visit the campus! Go to an info session and take a campus tour and make sure you mention you are a waitlisted student. They will take note that you came and visited. You also will get to see the Brandeis campus and determine if you are truly still interested in attending the school.

If you’ve won any awards or gotten any honors, leadership positions, etc. send an e-mail to your admissions counselor (You can find who is in charge of your area on the Brandeis admissions website) and update them about your life. Also, if you’ve kept your grades up, send them the most recent grades as you can.
