Okay, so I got notice today from UCSB that I wasn't offered admission due to not having enough units to meet the UC transfer requirement. However, I've been admitted to other UC's so obviously they screwed up somewhere. Any advice on how I should proceed? I don't feel that the appeal process should be necessary since I am more than qualified. If SB wasn't one of the more specialzied schools for Political Science I wouldn't care. Thanks in advance!

There have been a few other cases of this. The others have been told they must appeal if they want to go there.

Same thing happened to me with UCSB.....it makes you wonder =P

CoolMod, what steps have you taken to fix it, if any?

I just decided to not go cause the appeal process will take way too long and it will probably pass the SIR dates of the other colleges

Calgirl, I have looked back at some of your previous posts here and something looks wrong. On one posts you say you were accepted to UCR but said something about having to complete 10.5 units over the summer to attend. then you said on another post that you were rejected from UCSC.Now you have been rejected from UCSB. I see a trend here. I think some of your units might not be uc transfer as you would like to think. i would go see a advisor right away about this at your college.goodluck.

This may seem extremely obvious, but have you already called them to find out what the exact problem was?
