Advice to ease the wait

One of my teachers told me to imagine I'm rejected.

What advice did you receive?

I’m going to keep myself busy with other apps.

I’ve also tried to imagine that I’m rejected, but my thoughts drift off to “what if I’m accepted” thoughts, and those are much nicer.

Be hopeful, but be realistic. Most don’t get in, so work on Plan B.

Don’t think about it.

Easier said than done, I’m aware. :)

I’ll just think about Caltech first since the release date is earlier than MIT’s :)

Yeah, try to keep yourself busy. =] I’ve got a list of things to look forward to, at least one for each day up to and including the 16th. Thus, I can focus on things that are happening sooner and be happy with them, instead of just being like OMG 16TH WHERE ARE YOU. It’s quasi-working!

December is hell month for me with schoolwork. So I’ve got enough to keep my mind on.

Caltech EA results are coming back Saturday. That is how I’m easing the wait :)
