I’m a student at a private university in Pennsylvania. The school is well recognized for its prestige and the curriculum is really competitive. I’m a freshman but looking like a 3.5 at the end of the year, but this semster is a 3.2
I really want to go to Seattle because my family is moving to Seattle and they are a big part of my life and I want to be close to them at early stages of my life.
By the end of the year I will finish all my pre reqs and garnered enough credits (30 from this year, 30 from APs)
So should I give a shot this year or next year?
Best,
Being from another 4 year university detriments chances when you’re applying to the UW quite significantly as a transfer. The grades you’ve earned so far are on par with what they see normally among transfer students (3.5 average). Among washington state community college student applicants, the UW prefers to see 90 credits completed before transfer. However, I’d contact admissions and ask them what the ideal 4 year school transfer applicant looks like. If you 've already looked at the application, you’ve seen that you must communicate why your situation calls for transfer in an essay essay. Do your best to make your point!
