4 year to Community to 4 year Transfers

Hi guys. I’m a freshman from Washington State and I’m attending Western Washington University this quarter. In high school I had a 3.4 and 1880 on my SATs. Some family situations have changed in the last month or so and I’m needed back in Seattle fairly desperately. I expect I will not be able to leave the area for at least 5 years. I want to still be on track in college and wondering if it would be reasonable to expect being able to do a few things.

-Move back to Seattle after this quarter.
-Transfer to Bellevue community college. (Close by)
-Move to a 4 year local state school as soon as possible.( UW seems to be the only option for this)

Would it be reasonable to expect acceptance into UW in 1 or 2 years, and would transferring twice make me an unappealing candidate. Thank you.

Colleges are very understanding of family issues. Check to see if UW has a path from Bellevue. Many public Us do. I think your plan should be workable.

You could try to complete the year at the CC with high GPA and from there transfer to UWa. Transferring from your original college for family reasons will not hold you back as long as you have good grades.
