Advice: Transferring to UT from UMass Amherst

So I have lived in Austin all my life until a month ago. My parents moved to Massachusetts and dragged me along with them, and I am entering as a freshman at UMass in about a week. I am getting in state tuition at UMass because my father lived in Massachusetts at the time I applied, even though I was still in Austin. I now know that I want to transfer to UT after a year here at UMass, and I have 2 questions.

Could I possibly be considered a Texas resident, seeing as how I only lived in Mass for one month before going to school, and held a job in Texas during the summer before college and plan to hold a job in Texas during the summer after my freshman year? In addition, I have a Texas drivers license. I feel like it might be possible for me to say that I am a texas resident who went to live with his parents for a month and then left Texas to go to school and is now returning. Am I right?

What would be my chances of admission to UT as a transfer if I made a GPA of 3.6-4.0 at UMass and was an Economics major? Chances for in state admission and for out of state admission, because I don't know which I am considered.
