<p>I've been reading all of these "Chance me" forums trying to find schools where I would have a good shot of admission. I'm going for either chemical or mechanical engineering, and I'm very interested in Stanford and MIT. Yes, I do realize that my chances of getting into either of those are not very high. So could I get some suggestions as to where I should consider applying?
Schools I am looking at include: the two above, Washington University in St. Louis, Caltech, Brown, Georgia Tech, Carnegie Mellon, University of Chicago, Dartmouth, Cornell, University of Virginia, and University of California Berkeley.</p>
<p>-33 ACT (I'm taking it again and am expecting a 34 or 35)
-3.8 UW, 4.1 weighted GPA (cumulative 10th - 11th grade. my grades have improved significantly each year, if that makes any difference. )
-NHS president
-3.5 UW freshman GPA at International School of Beijing in China (I did not include this with my other GPA because I do not know how to weight it)
-School store manager
-Spanish club vice president
-Future Business Leaders of America - honorary member
-total of 7 APs (11th and 12th grade all Honors and AP classes)
-Lived in Argentina from kindergarten to 5th grade; China 5th grade to 10th grade; Pennsylvania 10th - graduation.
-Great recs
-Very unique essays about my experiences overseas
-I am taking SAT IIs early October in US History, Chemistry, and Math I</p>
