Advisors

If you log on to axess - click on "academics" - and then "view advisor" you can see who you've been assigned to. Thought you guys might like to know.

ah mine doesn't say anyone yet...I'll try again later; thanks for the tip

Not up yet...

aww. mine was up.

I got mine...I guess I can facebook him. Thanks for the tip, arpdav

Damn, I am so jealous...

Facebook your advisor? How can you do that?

^i know some prof's have facebook's, but i doubt your advisors will. they're like 102 years old. haha.

haha. you can find them on stanford who.

nope I haven't been assigned one yet, I'll try again later no rush

my advisor didn't even work at stanford so good luck facebooking them...

oh, i was under the impression that most of the advisors were just upperclassmen students? guess not

My just came up. He's the associate director of urban studies, so I think most of them are professors.

Mine is an associate professor.

your Academic advisors (the one you see on axess) are all old people...basically professors and such.

your peer mentors, which work with your academic advisors sometimes to help you, are who you're thinking about. they're all upperclassmen.

I've got an assistant professor of philosophy

Cool! I got a professor of ChemE exactly who I need!

hey ranodm question: do the advisors have more than one undergraduate whom they advise? ...like you hafta share advisors with someone else? just wondering :)

^Yeah I'm pretty sure they do :)

you share your frosh advisor with about 8 other students (probably from your dorm) who all have the same interests. my advisor worked at genentech (sp?) and didn't know ANYTHING about advising freshman (he actually asked "so what is this ihum thing? do you have to take it every quarter?") and i pretty much relied on my hpac, who is an upperclass student who lives in your dorm.
