I was accepted early decision into CALS with a major in information science, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me about adding AEM as a double major. I read this page: Applied Economics and Management/Cornell so I know it's doable, but is it possible to do it and still have a bit of a life and get some sleep? I have some AP credits, and I already took AEM 1200 in cornell summer college, but will the number of required classes still be too much to handle?

I’m double specializing in AEM and I also have a double major in IARD, so it is definitely doable. I started with AEM first, and even though I’m a sophomore, I’m mostly taking Junior/Senior level classes right now, due to AP credits. In fact, the entire reason why I decided to double major in IARD was because I had too much time on my hands and couldn’t get into the upper level AEM classes bc I was only a freshman/sophomore.

Granted, my two majors have a couple of overlapping classes that can be used as major-distribution requirements. But I think AEM and IS have a couple of overlapping classes that can probably be used as well… Plus, you can specialize in just one topic, which usually isn’t that hard. You might not get to be THAT focused in that one topic, but you’ll get to take the basics and some more advanced classes.

Ok thanks cc
