So I already posted this but it ended up with the schools that I would apply to are all reaches.

Soooo I'm going to try again!

Stats:
Cuban Male

3.2 gpa
1750 SAT
Taking SAT II soon.

I'm looking to get find some colleges that would be a slight reach/match. Has to have a decent Aerospace Engineering program.

Try Georgia Tech or Virginia Tech

Does it have to be Aero? Many schools use Mechanical Engineering for those industries.

Embry Riddle
Case Western

What state are you in? That can help us give you more possibilities.

I’m in california btw.

a match for you to be Cal Poly Pomona. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo would be a reach. Cal State Long Beach is a match.

Anymore or is this it?

If so… Thanks for everything :D

Purdue has a great aerospace engineering program

Daniel Webster college has always had a top two year-ABET-certified aero engineering program, that channeled engineers to Emery Riddle, Clarkson, and the other big Aero schools. It has its own airport and fleet of planes.

5 years ago it expanded to offer 4/5 year ME and AERO degrees. This May represents its second graduating class. Therefore in September it will be eligible for ABET certification, which is well underway. The curriculum is based on MIT-AERO’s CDIO model (conceive, design, implement, operate).

It is going for-profit private, with a $40million dollar cash infusion from ITT ed services. Not sure how that will shake out, but ITT does not invest in losers that would be going away.

It is a very small LAC school outside Nashua New Hampshire. Lots of students dual major in engineering and business, or engineering and Aero-operations. Plus lots of ROTC. Becuase of the Dual Major prevelance, reliable stats on retention and 6 year grad rates are had to come by.

It’s not impossible to get into. this is a hidden gem for the student who isn’t going to MIT.

I had a 3.4 and a 1960 and was rejected from GT.

In-State.

Purdue would be a match

But this guy is hispanic so he gets the URM

you can definitely get into Purdue (I was accepted to engineering with a 3.0 GPA) or Embry Riddle
