Okay....I got a 29 on my ACT. Is this score good enough to use to apply to Stanford University? I have seen where Stanford has rejected people with ACT scores of 34 and 35. Should I be worried that I won't even have a chance. My gpa is a 3.75 (unweighted), I take all the honors courses at my school and will be taking AP courses, but I don't think that will impress them enough. I volunteer, play tennis and am a part of student organizations at my school. How am I going to show them that I am really serious about learning and am committed to working hard?

honestly, you need to retake if you want to go to stanford. people will tell you miraculous stories about how so and so got in with a 22 on their ACT and yadda yadda. but those cases are rare.

retake.

Honestly, with a 3.75, unless you are val of a ridiculously competitive HS, then you need AT LEAST a 34+ to even get a foot in the door. I am not trying to be harsh, just telling you the facts. The people that get in below the average ACT score (which is like 33 or something at stanford) all are hooked by being a minority, legacy, athlete or rich kid whose parents donated a building or two.
