Hello all! I started reading through the GA tech’s last year’s acceptance/denial statistics, and I noticed the gap between African American acceptance stats and, well, other races’ stats. Seeing this somewhat gives me hope at my chances! That being said, can you all be brutally honest on my acceptance chances? My GPA is a 3.74, and my ACT score is a 30 (I’m hoping I can bring this up to a 31+). My SAT score is 1890, but I think I’m going to focus on my ACT score. I’ve taken 6 APs so far, and I’m taking 2 more this senior year. I have also taken a few dual enrollment courses. I’ve been on the volleyball team for 4 years now, and I’m part of NHS. I live in-state if that also matters, and I want to apply to business.

Hey girl! GA Tech is amazing! To help CHAMCE you I would say that your scores and stuff look pretty good! The only thing I would work on is your extracurriculars. The ECs are an essential part that colleges are really starting to look at more than scores. Whatever you’re trying to pursue, try to incorporate that into your ECs and go above and beyond
