<p>Im a student that moved to the U.S from Ethiopia at a young age and I've finally broken down under the pressure of getting into college and hit the panic stage so please chance me! I want brutally honest opinions</p>
<p>Schools im worried about getting into: Princeton University, University of Notre Dame, University of Pennsylvania, Stanford University, Yale University, Cornell University, Columbia University, Pomona College, University of Chicago, and Duke University. </p>
<p>Unweighted GPA (9-11th grade) 3.600 // Weighted GPA 3.97
ACT- 28 on my first try. I recently retook it and im expecting to go up to at least a 29 or 30
Still have to take the SAT II subject tests</p>
<p>AP Micro, all honors classes, intro engineering course - 9th grade
No AP classes offered in my school so all honors plus a bio technical engineering course- 10th
AP Calc/Chem/Euro, CIS Spanish, and honors classes - 11th
AP CALC BC/Physics/Lit/Micro/Stats plus CIS Government -12th</p>
<p>Extra Curriculars and roles (if any):
Student Council Vice President (Sophomore year) 3 years
Debate Member (Senior Year) 8-12 hours per week
Tennis - JV Points player, maybe Varsity this year (4 years) 10-12 hours per week
National Honor Society Member (Senior Year) 30 hours per semester minimum
Superintendents Student Advisory Advisor (4 years) This is a group of 2 students from each grade that are chosen to meet with the Superintendent of schools 3 or 4 times per year to give our input about various issues.
Chemistry Club Member (Junior and Senior year) 2 hours per week
Table Tennis Club- (Junior and Senior year) 2 hours per week
Math Team (Sophomore Year) 4-6 hours per week
Student Liaison to the School Board I attend bimonthly school board meetings/workshops for 2 hours and I represent the views of the students (only one student chosen for this position)
Job (senior) 15-20 hours per week</p>
<p>Im getting letters of rec from my honors language arts and AP Euro teachers as well as one from the Superintendent of Schools (can i have 3?)</p>
<p>I also started a small t-shirt company with a friend that managed to get pretty popular for a while (1700 likes on facebook) and we made a decent profit.
