I think i got it!! here is my list of school i will be applying:
My stats:3.4 GPA(competitive catholic school brazil)
33ACT
Schools:
reaches;USC , Northwestern, Vassar college
Matches:Syracuse, Boston college, Emory(maybe low reach), Vanderbilt , Ithaca college.
Major:arts, science, communication.
i need more matches any sug.

Wisconsin has a great communications school and is a match.

Ok i will take a look!!

Syracuse and Ithaca are definite safeties.

Have you thought of Emerson and Mizzou? (University of Missouri - Columbia)

USC is easier to get into than Vandy and Emory.
WuSTL is very good across the board, you would have a good chance if show interest.

It looks to me like all of those schools would be worth traveling thousands of miles to attend...except Ithaca. Possible replacements for Ithaca: Villanova, Pittsburgh, George Washington, American U.

Emory is reach and Ithaca is safety for you.

definately ditch ithaca- i briefly visited on the way to cornell, and I would not go there simply b/c it's not a good enough school, or friendly enough, to force me to put up with the weather.

"Emory is reach and Ithaca is safety for you"despite beeing very selective i think my chances at Emory is pretty good they have no Brazilian in Undergrad..According to my counselor she would be surprised if i don't get in.She said she went to a conference in Emory and they talked a lot about trying hard do diversify their student body.I don't know if that's true but i'm crossing my fingers!!

Ok so i take Ithaca and put Pittsburgh?
Schools:
reaches;USC , Northwestern, Vassar college,Emory(maybe low reach), Vanderbilt
Matches:Syracuse, Boston college, Pittsburgh.
i still would like two more matches:Mizzou?Any state schools?

You seem to like colleges near big cities. Most of the prominent state schools are a ways from a big city. For a safety, I think it's hard to beat Indiana...beautiful campus, great college town, fairly intellectual (as opposed to vocational) climate (no engineering, no agriculture, no med school, smallish law school), weather isn't bad for a Northern state. U of Colorado, U of Georgia, and U of Connecticut are all pretty interesting, too.

Alabama, Penn State, Michigan State, and Tennessee all have interesting things going on too. I think if you're going to come all the way from Brazil, and you don't get into Northwestern, Vassar, USC, Vanderbilt, Emory, Syracuse, or Boston College, "settling" for a lively large state school that everybody has heard of with a beautiful campus in an interesting town with plenty of sports and thousands of attractive unspoiled non-trust-fund coeds isn't a bad option.

U of Santa Clara might be a decent safety, too.

I don't like your choices, except for Vassar. You should go to a liberal arts college... a completely different kind of experience and educational philosophy than is found in South America.

Go ahead and research the following schools:

Reaches: Wesleyan, Middlebury, Bates, Macalester
Matches: Kalamazoo, Franklin and Marshall, Beloit, Pitzer
Safeties: Marlboro, St. Olaf, McDaniel, Goucher

yeah, definitely look at LACs.

I just visited Kalamazoo and really loved it!

Uauuu!!So many comments..Thanks a lot!!!dwincho you mentioned that i should apply to more colleges..So lets see how about 2 college reaches and 2 colleges matches:
Here is the list:
reaches:I definitely want to keep USC,northwestern and Vassar college so i would add Wesleyan, Middlebury?
Matches:Kalamazoo,Boston college, Pittsburgh,Emory, vandy ,Syracuse(i'm not very happy with syracuse do you guys maybe anothe school?)
Safetiess:Santa clara.

TourGuide446 you got it right i do like big city i'm from Belo Hotizonte(for those who want to see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belo_Horizonte) and would like a college in or near a major city.
