Hey, lets say you were admitted...

would you buy a whole bunch of Harvard merchandise like the hoodies and T-Shirt to happily flaunt around your school (in a nice way)??

I would...would you...what else would you do?

Hey, lets say you were admitted...

would you buy a whole bunch of Harvard merchandise like the hoodies and T-Shirt to happily flaunt around your school (in a nice way)??

I would...would you...what else would you do?

I would tattoo an H on my forehead. And wear crimson war paint to school. And possibly dye my hair crimson.

awesome
I am impressed

i think im with apfreak

I would douse myself in red paint. Afterwards, I will streak across my school's parking lot waving a paint-stained flag with a giant 'H' on it.

If I wanted to die maybe. The kids at school might kill me from just knowing i got in.

i'd buy few sweaters

I'm not. I'd stay humble and cool. Then when some jerk asks me where I am going I'd go "Harvard %$#@!"

Seriously though, I don't like bragging. What about friends who don't get in? It would be a slap in the face to flaunt Harvard gear at them.

Oh well, I'm not getting in anyways so I don't have to worry about it.

Yeah, I'm not an attention-whore or anything like that. I seriously wouldn't tell anyone unless they asked because I would feel like an a**hole if I did.

...but something should be shown in light of your admission to Harvard. I mean, it is like the best university in the world.

My parents are going to have enough trouble getting me to college at all--I don't think we could afford hoodies. I'm turning my complimentary Indiana University sweatshirt inside out. They're the same color :)

You need to have Byerly explain the proper edicate for wearing H gear inside and outside of Cambridge. There are rules :)

not me.................

I wouldn't...the acceptance letter would be all I needed. I think I'd just quietly show my guidance counselor. You know, just mention it in passing.

Are there really rules for wearing Harvard gear? I hope they're not too strict. I can certainly understand that openly flaunting the fact that you got in is bad...but...it seems silly to say that you can't wear a Harvard T-shirt if you feel like it, or even attach a little sticker to your car windshield. If you have school pride, as long as you keep it toned down, I would think that would be fine. Besides, I like Harvard's logo--it's pretty! I love medieval shields and would probably put one on my car anyway (if I had one). It seems like such a waste to get into a great school, and then not be able to show any school pride because people will label you "arrogant."

You all are so humble! Harvard merch would be pouring out my ears if I got in. What's wrong with a little pride? So many people boast about the state school they go to, why not you if you're going to the best university in the world?

Wow. Why do people have such a need to boast about their schools and let the world know how much they think of themselves. Don't tie your self worth to an acceptance to Harvard. You could get in and still fail at life like so many previous Harvard grads have done. Harvard acceptance is not the end, it's the begggining.

I say no to flaunting your school around in HS. I'd let my guidance counselor know and my close friends. No merchandise needed (plus as someone mentioned, I'd wanna save the money hehehe)

Yeah I totally wouldn't boast and shove my acceptance letter in everyone's face... I would be proud though, hahah. It would also be painful to those who were rejected if you're stampeding around telling everyone that you got in.

I don't know if I see it so much as a matter of boasting. Kids going to almost any school wear their merchandise in sheer excitement, not out of boasting, so why should it be any different for Harvard prefrosh? If accepted I'll probably wear a t-shirt/sweatshirt around, but not too much. Everyone has so much pride and excitement in where they're going to school, and Harvard students shouldn't be barred from expressing that same excitement. It just can't be too overbearing (like, wearing a Harvard t-shirt, sweatshirt, and crew baseball hat every day :p), otherwise then it really seems like boasting!

HAY GUYS GUESS WHAT MY SHIRT SAYS I GO TO HARVARD DO YOU FIND ME ANYMORE INTERESTING THAN BEFORE LOL!?

For your sake, and the sake of your friends, do not do this.

haha ok, sorry, forgive me for the na
