After college interviews, do most people

receive a thank you note/card from their interviewer? I received one after my interview at Skidmore, before the one that I sent had been received by the interviewer. Not trying to act cocky or anything, just wondering if this is standard, or if it indicates that my interview went well.

I did at my interviews. It is a way for the school to continue the connection and make sure you apply and feel as if the school is interested in you. It doesn’t mean much for chances though.

alright! that’s all I needed to know, thank you!

No, interviewers --whether alumni interviewers or admissions officers – usually don’t send cards, etc. The applicant, however, should send a thank-you note, though my experience as an alum interviewer has been that few do.

My interviewer sent me a postcard with a note on the back. and I sent him a thank you card.

Ds got a postcard (kind of pre-printed thing) from one school, and a nice personal note from another.

I got a postcard from WashU after an on-campus interview.
