So I've done some research here and there Dartmouth's site, but I was wondering if an alum or a Dartmouth-ly well-versed person could reiterate for me (and all else who are also wondering). what is the work/graduate school life like after Dartmouth? Specifically in the social science realm?

Does Dartmouth help you land internships and jobs after undergraduate studies? Does the school's education prepare you for careers in social sciences (even more specifically human geography & poli sci?)

Does Dartmouth prepare you well for graduate schools? Do Dartmouth students place well in good graduate schools? (If anyone can post link of rankings or whatever, that would help).

Obviously if you attend Dartmouth, than your after-Dartmouth-career-life can't be horrid, but I just wanted to converse with others to see if I'll learn something (which is always the goal!!!)

Thanks!

Lets put it this way - Dartmouth will give you the education and opportunities. How well you avail yourself of them, how you succeed, is largely up to you. If you have researched the website a bit you have encountered:

[Dickey Center at Dartmouth - Home](http://dickey.dartmouth.edu/)
[The Nelson A. Rockefeller Center at Dartmouth College](http://rockefeller.dartmouth.edu/)
<a href=“Home | The William Jewett Tucker Center”>Home | The William Jewett Tucker Center;

Lots of opportunities for experience are available through each of these . Just be pro-active.

Dartmouth is one of the best schools in the country at placing its grads. It does an incredible job with consulting/ banking/ finance, in DC, and its grad school placement is top 7ish. Its pretty much hard to beat it in this area. The school goes out of its way to stay connected with you and I think its hard to do better than Dartmouth in this regard.
