After filling 2013 Taxes how long it takes for FAFSA to pull info

Does anyone remember what is the wait time once parents filled taxes via E-File and the FAFSA tool to pull the Tax info from IRS, is it 1 week or more then a week..

I read it somewhere its normally takes 2 weeks for FAFSA to get the tax info from IRS.
I might be able to file by end of next week if my W2 shows up in my email, I get it electronically instead of paper which takes longer like first week of Feb..

In the past I even get a Refund in less then 5 days so that means IRS approved it very quickly.

The earliest you can e-file your taxes this year is January 31st. (because of the govt shut down last year)

I don’t know about the speed of the FAFSA/IRS interface - we finished filing FAFSAs before that was introduced.

^^ I thought one can e-file but IRS wont process it till 1/31…

We can’t submit to the IRS with our professional tax software. All the forms have “do not file” in large letters across them.

Of course we submit direct to the IRS. I think the “big box” type software programs might accept it earlier and then submit at a later date when everything is finalized.

I used TbT for e-file, havent loaded the SW yet just sitting next to my PC.
Will found out by next week if it allowed it or not.

I think if you e-file before the 31st, the e-file provider will store it and submit to the IRS on the 31st.

^^ yes you are correct.

I think in 2013 the date was 1/30 due to govt lock down…
