<p>It isn’t as if the Dawg Daze activities are mandatory, however I do believe they have a few things that they would like new incoming freshman to go to that isn’t related to Dawg Daze at all. As far as I know, after we move in, they expect us to be at the school.</p>

<p>They do expect that you will stay in the dorms after you move in, but it’s not like it’s required. People almost never go back home though, FWIW.</p>

<p>I don’t have an answer…I’m just wondering if it would be weird to go home…and it sounds like it would. I’m just trying to think out loud here. I’m staying in McMahon and it seems like they’d want people out of the way as everyone’s moving in…? But maybe not.</p>
<p>Hi. It’s college, not prison. You can stay in the dorm after you move-in or never show up again. So long as you pay your housing and don’t do anything illegal in your room, I don’t think it matters if you go home every other hour. Enjoy being a UDub student and resident! :-)</p>
<p>pop808 is correct. You can come and go as you please. it’s like an apartment…pay your rent and your good.</p>
