After putting in so much effort,I'm devastated by my third SAT scores.Any advice?

I'm another international hoping to get into some of the top colleges in the US and this was my third try on the SAT.The first time on the October test I scored 1880,on the second in December,2000 and on the recent May SAT,I got 2160.I know this is just not enough to get the financial aid support I need even if I get into some colleges.
I am frustrated with the Math score.I always get 780-800 on the practice tests and on the real test,I ended up with a 710.I'm a smart kid and always am in the top 5% of my class(our school doesn't rank). My parents don't say a thing but I know they are short on resources to fund my entire 4 year education and from what I've heard, international students are generally awarded very less.
I know I've improved over time and maybe with one more try,I can get a 2250.But,a fourth try is generally not considered well and that especially holds true for internationals.I'm looking at colleges like Princeton(dream school),Dartmouth,Amherst all of which superscore and consider the best SAT scores. So will it hurt my chances to give the SAT another shot or do you think I should turn to the ACT(which I'm not very familiar with and have to start from the scratch)? And I don't think I can afford ACT prep classes.
If I do appear for the SAT,it will be in October and if the ACT,then September. That means I'll have plenty of time over the summer to prepare.
Any advice will be appreciated.Anybody else went through or are going through the same dilemma??
Thanks in advance!

I’m going through the exact same thing:

I really don’t know what to tell you. You see, we both know that we can get a high score, based on all the practice tests, but on the actual exam we still don’t do that well. I’m actually thinking about risking it for the fourth time, because the first time I took it was years ago, and it was my counselor who made me do it.

However, nothing guarantees a high score, as seen by this test, and I’m really concerned that top schools would just average my scores. I actually think that if each section is above 700, that should be fine.

What do you think?
